AnchorPoint Recovery

Opening soon · Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program

Steady ground for the work of recovery.

AnchorPoint Recovery is a psychiatric rehabilitation program opening soon in the DMV. We help adults and young people living with mental health conditions build the everyday skills, routines and connections that make recovery hold.

What a PRP is

Support for the life around treatment

A psychiatric rehabilitation program works alongside your treatment, not in place of it. Your therapist or psychiatrist treats the illness. A PRP helps with the life around it: getting through the day, building skills and confidence, and staying connected to the people and places that matter to you.

Support happens one to one and in small groups, at the program and out in the community, at a pace that suits you.

What we will work on

Five places to find your footing

  • Daily living

Routines that hold up on hard weeks: budgeting, cooking, getting around, keeping appointments, looking after a home.

  • Wellness

Understanding your symptoms and what sets them off, keeping up with medication, coping skills, and a plan for difficult days.

  • Relationships and community

Communicating with the people around you, family relationships, friendships, and finding places in the community where you belong.

  • Work, school and volunteering

Getting ready for the next step you choose, and support to keep going once you have taken it.

  • Your care team

Working with your therapist, psychiatrist, case manager and, for young people, family and school, so everyone involved is pulling in the same direction.

Who it is for

Adults and young people who want more support between appointments

AnchorPoint serves adults and young people living with a mental health condition who want help putting recovery into practice in everyday life.

For young people, the work centers on home, school and friendships, and parents or guardians are part of it from the start. For adults, it centers on independence, work and community.

Most people come to a PRP through a referral from a therapist, psychiatrist, hospital, school or case manager, but you are welcome to ask about it yourself, or on behalf of someone you care about. We will share eligibility, insurance and how to enroll when we open.
